How TheraMilo Works
Business model & customer journey
TheraMilo is a digital marketplace that connects patients with independent physiotherapists for in-clinic and home sessions across Pakistan. This page explains how the platform operates, what we do and do not provide, and the full journey from first request to a completed session.
1. Our business model
DevWhisp operates TheraMilo as a technology marketplace. We provide the software that helps patients discover therapists, request sessions, communicate securely, and pay for booked services. Therapists use the same platform to receive requests, accept or decline work, and deliver sessions under their own professional responsibility.
TheraMilo earns a platform fee for facilitating matching, booking, messaging, and payment processing. Session fees are set by therapists (and may include travel fees for home visits). Clinical care is provided by the therapist, not by TheraMilo.
2. What TheraMilo is not
TheraMilo is not a hospital, clinic, ambulance service, or licensed healthcare provider. We do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or employ therapists as clinical staff. Therapists on the platform are independent professionals (or their practices). Listing, matching, and booking tools do not create a therapist–patient relationship with TheraMilo.
3. Who uses the platform
Patients: People seeking physiotherapy who create an account, describe their need, request a session, connect with a therapist, pay for the service, attend the session, and can mark the booking as completed and leave feedback.
Therapists: Independent physiotherapists who create a profile, set services and availability, receive patient requests, accept or reject those requests, deliver the session in clinic or at home, and receive payment according to platform rules.
TheraMilo (platform): Provides the marketplace, in-app messaging, booking status tracking, and payment facilitation. We do not deliver clinical treatment.
4. Complete customer journey
A typical booking follows these steps:
- Request. The patient creates a request for a specific need or service (for example back pain), chooses clinic or home visit, and shares relevant details so therapists understand the request.
- Therapist response. Nearby or matching therapists can accept or reject the request. Acceptance means they are willing to take on that session; it is not yet a paid booking until the patient connects and pays where required.
- Connect. Once one or more therapists have accepted, the patient selects and connects with a therapist. Connection establishes the booking relationship for that request.
- Payment. After connecting, the patient pays for the service through the app. Payments are processed by our payment partners. The total may include the session fee, any applicable travel fee, and a platform fee.
- Service delivery. The therapist provides the physiotherapy session at the agreed time and place (clinic or home), coordinated as needed through in-app chat.
- Completion. When the session is done, the patient can mark the booking as completed. Patients may also leave a review and, optionally, a tip.
At every stage, status updates are visible in the app (for example pending, accepted, connected, paid, completed, or canceled). Either party may cancel subject to our Cancellation & Refund Policy and the therapist’s stated cancellation window.
5. How payments work
- Patients pay through TheraMilo after connecting with a therapist for a specific booking.
- Funds are processed by licensed payment partners on behalf of the platform.
- Therapists are paid for completed sessions according to platform payout rules.
- Platform fees and payment processing charges are generally non-refundable; session and travel fee refunds follow our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Service types we facilitate
- In-clinic sessions — the patient attends the therapist’s listed clinic.
- Home visits — the therapist travels to the patient’s address; a travel fee may apply.
TheraMilo does not sell or ship physical goods. Delivery means access to a booked physiotherapy appointment. See our Service Delivery Policy for more detail.
7. Accountability
- Therapists remain solely responsible for clinical judgment, credentials, professional conduct, and the care they provide.
- Patients are responsible for accurate request details, attending confirmed sessions, and following applicable cancellation rules.
- TheraMilo is responsible for operating the marketplace software, supporting users, and facilitating payments under our Terms, Privacy Policy, and related policies.
